Chainsaw Saftey

Soon you’re gonna be pulling out the chain saw to do some serious pruning on your trees.  Let’s keep in mind of safety factors for chain saw use.  Chain saws, when used properly, are perfect for tackling the big job of yearly pruning.

However, you can loose more than branches if you don’t take the proper precautions.  Chain saws can get heavy.  Make sure you’re in good physical shape to tackle the job.

Since you only have one head protect the stuff on it. Eyes need goggles or a face shield.  Ears get damaged from collecting sound over the years.  If you blasted the radio as a kid, a noisy chain saw can slip your ears into silence – so plug ‘em up!

Protect your head with a rigged hat or helmet.  And don’t wear loose clothing – you can get snagged by a falling branch or by a chain saw blade.

And finally, where gloves that have a good grip.  I’d hate to see you ruin that manicure and drop the chain saw.  In the long run, the fashion police will site you but remember it is safety first.
