Project Youth Grow is a hands-on student learning workshop teaching basic urban farming skills that are shared via a television segment on the award winning television show, Things Green with Nick Federoff. Sometimes we film full blown 30-minute shows from the school(s).

Sustainable Environmental Education intends to empower young people as environmental-awareness role models on a widely viewed public television show. On television, a team of youth will plant a garden demonstrating Environmentally Responsible and green practice methods used to grow organic fruits and vegetables. Methods of learning include: hands-on demonstrations, audio and visual aids, interactive displays and guest lecturers.
Youth will learn about Sustainability and ‘Environmental Responsibility’ and how human activity is interconnected with the environment. Learning to grow food sustainably connects Science and Chemistry subjects to being environmentally responsible. Youth will take action by demonstrating hands-on gardening skills like worm composting, and green-practices such as recycling and energy conservation. Sustainable gardening can be done by anyone, which shows applicability for the valuable and empowering life-skills.
